ABOUT ME

PROFESSIONALLY

I graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 2013 with a bachelors in Radio/TV production. I started my career at Hearst Digital where I quickly learned how to work and design around dozens of different brands. I’m proficient in After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, and Photoshop. I learned to edit on Avid Media Composer and spent many years editing on FCP at CNN and Hearst. I’m exceptionally good at troubleshooting and can quickly pick up and learn how to use most programs and gear on the fly. My main areas of interest are science and biodiversity, but I’ve covered everything from politics and international news, to design and culture.

PERSONALLY

Today, I live on Long Island with my dog (a dane/lab that we absolutely thought was a beagle at first), daughter (adorable and adored), and husband. I have an alarming amount of hobbies from crafting to reading to hiking to photography to knitting (I’m bad at that one) to cooking (I’m okay at that one) and gardening. I love learning new things and going new places. I have endless patience when problem-solving.

Please don’t ask me to share a fun or interesting fact about myself. It always comes down to “I was a very unlucky child and was once attacked by a rabid groundhog.” Yes. A groundhog. Now I can’t eat gluten. That’s probably not the groundhog’s fault but who really knows? Shifty little weather-predicting b*stards.
